Bluffwoods Conservation AreaBluffwoods and Goodell Annex overlook the Missouri River floodplain just south of St. Joseph. Both areas are mostly forested with scattered open grasslands. Pawnee Prairie Natural AreaThis prairie natural area is a remnant of the once-vast tallgrass prairie that covered much of northwest Missouri. Prairie restoration efforts are on-going.
