History

eko was founded in 2009 by Israeli rock musician Yoni Bloch (CEO), Tal Zubalsky (CPO), and Barak Feldman. eko is backed by Sequoia Capital, Intel Capital, New Enterprise Associates, Marker LLC, Innovation Endeavors, Warner Music Group, Sony Pictures, Samsung, and Walmart.

eko began its journey as a media production company, developing software that constructs interactive audiovisual multimedia. This software allows users to choose from multiple streaming options, creating a traversable video tree.

The availability of different video streams provides a unique opportunity for viewers to change perspectives or explore narrative-branching, offering a dynamic viewing experience.  One notable application of eko's innovative software was in the production of the music video for Bob Dylan's Like A Rolling Stone.  produced by Sony.
