Nick Winston is an internationally renowned English director and choreographer working in theatre, opera and film.

Nick directed the critically acclaimed Bonnie & Clyde in Concert at The Theatre Royal Drury Lane starring Jeremy Jordan. This was followed by the West End premiere of Bonnie & Clyde at The Arts Theatre where it won the WhatsOnStage Award for Best New Musical and a subsequent production at The Garrick Theatre. His second collaboration with composer Frank Wildhorn was the critically acclaimed Death Note, which had a sold out concert premiere at The London Palladium, followed by a run at The Lyric Theatre. Nick will next direct the UK premiere of Frank Wildhorn’s Your Lie in April at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane.

Nicks work as choreographer includes the revival of Annie starring Miranda Hart at the Piccadilly Theatre; the world premiere of Loserville at the Garrick theatre which received an Olivier Award nomination for Best New Musical; Druids’ production of Waiting For Godot which toured America and played a season at the Lincoln Centre in New York; Kiss Me Kate at the Théâtre du Châtelet, in Paris and The Adventures of Pinocchio for Minnesota Opera.

Nick directed the feature film, Tomorrow Morning starring Samantha Barks, Ramin Karimloo, Fleur East, Omid Djalili and Joan Collins (Amazon).

Nick had the honor of directing The Royal Variety Show in the presence of HRH The Prince of Wales, hosted by Miranda Hart for ITV. His other work on screen includes, Miranda: My Such Fun Celebration (BBC); Sondheim at 80 starring Dame Judi Dench (BBC) Shakespeare Live: From the RSC (BBC - BAFTA Award nomination for Best Live Event) and The Diplomat (Netflix).

Nick will direct the world premiere of Burlesque The Musical executive produced by Christina Aguilera opening at Manchester Opera House in 2024.

Nick lives in Northampton with his two children Sophie & Luke Winston.
