  • Taiwan, officially the Republic of China (ROC), a country in East Asia
  • Republic of China (1912–1949), state in East Asia from the end of the Qing dynasty to the end of the Chinese Civil War, which ruled the Mainland China before 1949 and Taiwan after 1945
    • The following three governments were recognized as legal representative of the Republic of China during their existence:
    • Wang Jingwei regime, a Japanese puppet regime in Nanjing formally called the Republic of China, 1940-1945
