WorldCall Telecom Limited is a Pakistani telecommunication and multimedia service provider which was previously a majority-owned subsidiary of OmanTel, the telecom company of Oman. Omantel. It is based in Lahore, Pakistan.[5] In 2008, Majority Shares were acquired by Omantel for $193 million and in 2018 Omantel sold its shares. [6] In 2022, Majority shares of Worldcall were acquired by GlobalTech Corporation, headquartered in Reno, Nevada.[7]

History

WorldCall was formed on March 15, 2001 and commenced its operations[8] on December 1, 2004.[9]. In 2023 Worldcall was awarded the Consumer Choice Award for being the best media company and the largest Cable Operator providing Digital TV services in 6 cities in [Pakistan].[10]

Operations

Worldcall provides Broadband, Cable Television and telephone connectivity in Pakistan[11]. In March 2021, WorldCall rolled out Fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) internet branded 'Fiber 5G+' in Lahore with plans ranging from 20 Mbit/s to 100 Mbit/s.[12]
