Shinohara Yoshiko is a Japanese businesswoman. She is the founder of Persol Holdings (formerly Temp Holdings), and is Japan's first self-made female billionaire.[1]

As of 2020, Shinohara has a 11% stake in Persol Holdings.[2] She retired from her role as chairman of the company in 2016 but retained the title of chairman emeritus.[3] In 2023, Forbes estimated her net worth at $965 million.[3]

She has been ranked as one of strongest female executives in the world by Forbes.[4] She became Japan's first self-made female billionaire in early 2017.[3]

Education

She attended Yokohama Eiri Girls High School, graduating in 1953.[5]
