The 2023 Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One Day Tournament was a List A cricket competition that was played in Afghanistan between 29 October and 20 November 2023.[1][2] It was the Sixth edition of the competition played with List A status, following the announcements by the International Cricket Council (ICC) in February and May 2017.[3][4] Mis Ainak Region were the defending champions.Bost Region win the Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional List A Tournament 2023.[5]
The 6th edition of the Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional List A Tournament is set to start on 29 October 2023. The event will feature five regional teams Amo Region, Band-e-Amir Region, Boost Region, Mis Ainak Region, and Speen Ghar Region competing in a double round-robin format from 26 October to 17 November at the Ghazi Amanullah Khan Cricket Ground in Ghazi Amanullah Town in Nangarhar province.

Final Report
The event started on October 29 in Nangarhar province which saw five regional teams competing in a double round-robin format followed by the final between the top two teams that was held today in Ghazi Amanullah Khan Cricket Stadium in Nangarhar.
Earlier in the morning, Yamin Ahmadzai won the toss and decided that the Bost Region would bat first in the final. Darwish Rasooli (122), Bilal Ahmad (88) and Shamsurrahman (31* off 11) put on a superb batting performance as they helped the Bost Region put a mammoth 336/6 in the first inning. Mohammad Saleem (2/56) was the pick of the bowlers for the Amo Region.
They then followed their excellent batting effort with an even better bowling performance to bundle out the Amo Region at 207 runs to win the game by 129 runs in the final to win their 2nd title of the Regional List A Tournament.
Despite Ijaz Ahmad's 48 and Ijaz Ahmadzai's 40, Amo Region struggled to gain momentum against Bost Region's impressive bowling by the skipper (3/42) and Abdul Baqi (3/44), concluding the match within 40 overs in the 2nd inning.
Darwish Rasooli (122 off 91 balls 13x4s and 4x6s), who scored an incredible hundred in the first inning, was awarded the player of the match. Bost Region’s middle-order batter Mohammad Ishaq, who scored exactly 300 runs for his team during the event, was awarded as the Emerging Player of the Tournament.
Yamin Ahmadzai, the skipper of Bost Region, picked 21 wickets and was recognized as the best bowler of the Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional List A Tournament 2023. In addition, Bost Region’s middle-order batter Darwish Rasooli was adjudged as the best batter of the tournament for scoring 490 runs in the event.
Abdul Malik, the skipper for the Amo Region, scored 407 runs and picked three wickets in the event, was awarded as the best player of the tournament.
The Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional List A Tournament 2023 marked the conclusion of the ACB's major domestic structure tournaments and will be followed by the Regional Club Championship 2023 in December.
