La Coma is a census-designated place (CDP) in Webb County, Texas, United States. This was a new CDP formed from parts of the Laredo Ranchettes CDP prior to the 2010 census with a population of 48.[2]

It is one of several colonias in the county.[3]

Geography

La Coma is located at 27°30′10″N 99°18′5″W / 27.50278°N 99.30139°W / 27.50278; -99.30139 (27.502878, -99.301498). The CDP has a total area of 1.2 square miles (3.1 km2), all land.[4]

Education

Residents are in the United Independent School District.[5] Zoned schools include: Freedom Elementary School,[6] Raul Perales Middle School,[7] and United South High School.[8]

The designated community college for Webb County is Laredo Community College.[9]
