Coke Studio is an Indian music series that features live musical performances by various artists recorded in a studio. The series showcases a diverse range of music genres from the Indian subcontinent, including Hindustani, Carnatic, Indian folk, as well as contemporary hip hop, rock, and pop music.[1] The show's concept is inspired by a similarly named program in Pakistan.[2]
Initially, Coke Studio @ MTV used to feature several songs in each episode, following a consistent episodic format that continued for four seasons.[3] However, with the launch of Coke Studio Bharat and Coke Studio Tamil, the program adopted a new format of releasing one song per month.[4][5]
