The largest, Miami metropolitan area (Miami-Fort Lauderdale-West Palm Beach), is ranked 8th among the top metropolitan areas in the U.S. The second largest, Tampa Bay area (Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater), is ranked 18th among the top metropolitan areas in the U.S.
