Mecistocephalus spissus is a species of centipede in the Mecistocephalidae family. It was described in 1862 by American biologist Horatio Curtis Wood.[1][2] This species is dark yellow-brown, has 45 pairs of leg, and can reach 70 mm in length.[3]
Distribution
The species occurs in the Hawaiian Islands. The type locality is Kauai or Oahu.[2]
