Offseason

  • November 16, 1999: Izzy Molina was signed as a free agent by the Royals.[1]
  • December 10, 1999: Doug Bochtler was signed as a free agent with the Kansas City Royals.[2]
  • December 17, 1999: Scott Service was released by the Royals.[3]
  • January 27, 2000: Ricky Bottalico was signed as a free agent by the Royals.[4]
  • March 7, 2000: Gregg Zaun was sent to the Royals by the Detroit Tigers as part of a conditional deal.[5]

Regular season

  • June 28, 2000: Pitcher Jay Witasick threw exactly three pitches and recorded three outs.[6] This was accomplished in the second inning.
