- April 25 - A magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck Nepal with epicenter at Gorkha at a depth of 15.0 km (9.3 mi).[4] In total, at least 10,000 people were killed in Nepal, India, Bangladesh, and China.[5][6]

- May 12 - A magnitude 7.3 earthquake with the epicenter at Dolakha kills at least 66 people in Nepal. [7]
