The 2024 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series will be the 30th season of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, a stock car racing series sanctioned by NASCAR in the United States. The season will start on February 16 with the Fresh From Florida 250 at Daytona International Speedway and will end with the Craftsman 150 on November 8 at Phoenix Raceway.[1][2]

Chevrolet CR7 Motorsports 9 Grant Enfinger Jeff Stankewicz Enfinger, who ran part-time for CR7 in the 2021 season, will return to the organization in 2024 for a full season. Jeff Stankewicz will serve as the crew chief.[3]
Faction46 46 Thad Moffitt (R) Doug George Moffitt, who previously ran part-time in the series in 2022, will join the newly formed Faction46 team full-time in 2024. Doug George will serve as the crew chief.[4][5]
Freedom Racing Enterprises 76 Spencer Boyd Greg Ely Boyd, who drove full-time for Young's Motorsports the previous season, will join the newly formed Freedom Racing Enterprises team full-time in 2024. Greg Ely will serve as the crew chief.[6]
McAnally-Hilgemann Racing 18 Tyler Ankrum Mark Hillman Ankrum will compete full-time for MHR in the No. 18, moving from Hattori Racing Enterprises, where he spent the past two seasons. Mark Hillman will serve as Ankrum's crew chief, staying with MHR.[7]
19 Christian Eckes[8] Charles Denike[8] Eckes will return for a second year and Charles Denike will return as crew chief.[8]
43 Daniel Dye TBA Dye, who drove for the closed GMS Racing team in 2023, will drive for MHR in 2024 and will continue to use the No. 43.[9]
Niece Motorsports 41 Bayley Currey TBA Currey, who has driven part-time for the team each year since 2019, will return to the No. 41 truck full-time in 2024. It will be his first full season driving for Niece.[10]
42 Matt Mills TBA Mills will drive the No. 42 truck full-time in 2024, replacing Carson Hocevar, who will move to the Cup Series.[11]
45 TBA TBA Lawless Alan will not return to the No. 45, but Niece has confirmed that the entry will compete full-time in 2024, with driver and crew chief to be announced.[12]
Rackley WAR 25 Ty Dillon Shane Wilson Dillon will compete for Rackley WAR in 2024, competing full-time in the series for the first time since 2013.[13] Shane Wilson will serve as crew chief.[14]
Rev Racing 2 Nick Sanchez TBA Sanchez will return to Rev Racing in 2024. The team will have an alliance with Spire Motorsports the same way they had one with Kyle Busch Motorsports before the team was bought by Spire.[15][16] Sanchez will have a new crew chief in 2024 as Danny Stockman Jr. left to return to Richard Childress Racing to crew chief their No. 2 car in the Xfinity Series driven by Jesse Love.[17]
Spire Motorsports 77 Chase Purdy Jason Trinchere Purdy had a contract to return to Kyle Busch Motorsports before the team was sold to Spire.[18][16] He will continue with the team in 2024.[19] Purdy will have a new crew chief in 2024 as Jimmy Villeneuve left to go to Halmar Friesen Racing as the No. 52 truck crew chief. Purdy will drive the No. 77, with Jason Trinchere serving as crew chief.[20]
TBA Kyle Busch 5 TBA Busch will run five races in 2024 for Spire Motorsports.[21] The truck will be driven by multiple drivers, the rest of whom have yet to be announced.[19]

Ford Front Row Motorsports 38 Layne Riggs (R) Dylan Cappello FRM stated that they will continue to field the No. 38 truck in 2024.[22] Zane Smith, the driver of the truck in 2023, will move up to the Cup Series full-time in 2024.[23] Riggs has signed a multi–year contract to drive the No. 38 full-time starting in 2024, with Dylan Cappello serving as his crew chief for 2024.[24]
Reaume Brothers Racing 33 Lawless Alan TBA Alan, who drive for Niece Motorsports the previous year, will drive the No. 33 for RBR full-time in 2024.[25]
ThorSport Racing 13 Jake Garcia TBA Garcia left McAnally-Hilgemann Racing after the end of the 2023 season[26] and will drive full-time for ThorSport in 2024, driving the No. 13 truck.[27][28]
88 Matt Crafton TBA Crafton will return to the No. 88 truck in 2024.[28]
98 Ty Majeski TBA Majeski will return to the No. 98 truck in 2024.[28]

Toyota Halmar Friesen Racing 52 Stewart Friesen Jimmy Villeneuve Friesen will run full-time for his own team again in 2024. Jimmy Villeneuve, who was Chase Purdy's crew chief at KBM in 2023, will be Friesen's new crew chief in 2024, replacing Bob Heilbrun.[29]
Hill Motorsports 56 Timmy Hill TBA Timmy Hill has announced he will drive the No. 56 full-time in 2024, competing full-time for the first time since 2022.[30]
Tricon Garage 5 Dean Thompson TBA Thompson will return to the No. 5 truck in 2024.[31]

Drivers

  • Matt DiBenedetto will not return to the Rackley WAR No. 25 in 2024, after being with the team full-time in 2022 and 2023.[46] After he was eliminated from the 2023 playoffs and had already announced his plans not to return to the team in 2024, Rackley WAR removed DiBenedetto from the No. 25 early.[47]
  • Hailie Deegan will move to the Xfinity Series full-time in 2024 driving for AM Racing.[48]
  • Colby Howard will not return to the CR7 Motorsports No. 9 truck in 2024.[49]

Crew chiefs

  • On November 4, 2023, Wally Rogers announced his retirement from crew chiefing in NASCAR after working for numerous teams in the Cup, Xfinity and Truck Series for over 20 years. He worked for Niece Motorsports since partway through the 2020 season and crew chiefed their No. 45 truck driven by Lawless Alan in 2023. His replacement has yet to be announced.[50]
  • On December 29, 2023, Rackley WAR announced that crew chief Chad Kendrick won't return to the team in 2024, with Ty Dillon, who will drive for the team in 2024, indicating that Kendrick is looking to step up into the Xfinity Series.[51]

Schedule

The entire schedule was released on October 4, 2023 and consists of 22 ovals and 1 road course, no dirt tracks will appear on the schedule for the first time since 2020.[52]
