The Most Rev. Mons. Adrian Joseph Galbas, S.A.C. (born on 26 January 1968) is a clergyman, prelate, professed member of the Pallottine Order, theologian, and philosopher of the Catholic Church in Poland Brazil who serve as the Metropolitan Archbishop of Katowice since May 2023.[1]
Biography
After ordination he had the following activities:
- 1994–1995: Parish Vicar in the parish of Łódź
- 1995–1998: Studies for a master's degree in pastoral theology at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin
- 1998–2002: Prefect of discipline in the major seminary of the Pallottines in Ołtarzew
- 2002–2005: Provincial counselor in Poznań
- 2003–2011: parish priest of Saint Lawrence
- 2012: awarded a doctorate in spiritual theology from the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw.
- 2011–2019: Provincial of Poznań for the Society of the Catholic Apostolate.
In May 2023, Pope Francis named him Metropolitan Archbishop of Katowice. [2][3]
