Ahmadabad (Persian: احمداباد, also Romanized as Aḩmadābād) is a village in, and the capital of, Layen Rural District of Hezarmasjed District, Kalat County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran.[3]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 454 in 112 households, when it was in Hezarmasjed Rural District of the Central District).[4] The following census in 2011 counted 406 people in 116 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 480 people in 141 households.[2]

After the census, the rural district was separated from the district in the establishment of Hezarmasjed District, which was divided into two rural districts. The village of Ahmadabad was transferred to the new Layen Rural District.[3]
