Al-Faisaliah Hotel (Arabic: فندق الفيصلية) is a five-star hotel in the al-Olaya district of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia,[1][2] located adjacent to the al-Faisaliah Tower.[3] Opened in 2000,[4] it is owned and managed by Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group since 2021. The hotel is frequented mostly by businessmen and is known for hosting weddings for members of the Saudi royal family as well as other elites.[5][6]

Overview

Al-Faisaliah Hotel was opened in May 2000,[7] alongside the Al-Faisaliah Tower. It was initially managed by Rosewood Hotels & Resorts and had 189 rooms and 35 suites at the time of its opening. In April 2015, the Al-Khozama Management Company acquired the hotel's management services and brought an end to the 20 year old partnership with Rosewood Hotels. The hotel had 224 rooms and 106 suites at the time.[8][9]

In November 2020, Hong Kong-based Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group signed an agreement with Al-Khozama Management Company to takeover the hotel by the first quarter of 2021,[10][11] which culminated in March 2021.[12][13] Following the takeover, the hotel underwent extensive renovation.

Restaurants and lounges

The Globe is the signature restaurant of the hotel,[14] whereas other restaurants include the Asir Lounge, La Brasserie, LPM Restaurant & Café, Mamo Michelangelo, Meraki, Yauatcha and Joud Lounge.[15][16]
