Apogonichthys is a genus of cardinalfishes native to the Indian Ocean and the western Pacific Ocean.

Other authorities recognise an additional two species, Apogonichthys heptastygma and Apogonichthys waikiki,[2] although FishBase only recognises the above three.[1]
