Atlantic International University, Inc. (AIU) is an unaccredited private for-profit distance learning university based in Honolulu, Hawaii. It was founded in December 1998 as Atlantic University, Inc.[2] It offers undergraduate and graduate degrees including doctorates.[3][4][5][6]
Accreditation
Although it is based in the United States, AIU is not accredited by a recognized United States accreditation agency.[7] It is accredited by the U.K. Accreditation Service for International Schools, Colleges and Universities (ASIC),[8] but ASIC is not recognized by the United States Secretary of Education.[9]
