Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University, Naogaon is a public university in Naogaon District. It is the second general University in Rajshahi Division after University of Rajshahi. The university was established by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University, Naogaon act 2022 in National Parliament.[1][2][3]

To desire of prime minister of Bangladesh To establish a university in every district of Bangladesh, this university was established in Naogaon District. The University Act was passed in National Parliament in 2022.
