Bansur is a municipal town and headquarters of eponymous tehsil in Kotputli-Behror district district of Jaipur division of Rajasthan, India. Before 2023 it was part of Alwar district but after district reorganisation in Rajasthan in 2023 it was made part of newly created district of Kotputli-Behror. In the State Budget, of the fiscal year 2020-21, it has been upgraded to Municipality or Nagar-Palika status. It is located 46km west of the Alwar city and 117km south of the state capital Jaipur.
