Boćwinka [bɔt͡ɕˈfinka] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Kruklanki, within Giżycko County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in north-eastern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) south-east of Kruklanki, 15 km (9 mi) east of Giżycko, and 103 km (64 mi) east of the regional capital Olsztyn. It is located in the region of Masuria.
History
The origins of the village date back to 1554, when Łukasz Lipiński bought land to establish a village.[2] In 1860, the village had a population of 354.[2]
