Calio is a city in Cavalier County, North Dakota, United States. The population was 8 at the 2020 census.[3] Calio was founded in 1905.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 8.89 square miles (23.02 km2), of which 8.15 square miles (21.11 km2) is land and 0.74 square miles (1.92 km2) is water.[5]

The average household size was 2.44 and the average family size was 3.60.

The median age in the city was 43.5 years. 31.8% of residents were under the age of 18; 0.0% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 18.1% were from 25 to 44; 18.1% were from 45 to 64; and 31.8% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the city was 50.0% male and 50.0% female.
