The Central District of Ardal County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان اردل) is in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Ardal.[3]

At the 2006 census, its population was 51,960 in 11,163 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 37,187 people in 8,978 households,[5] by which time Mashayekh Rural District, Naghan Rural District and the city of Naghan had been separated from the district in the establishment of Kiar County.[6] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 35,179 inhabitants living in 9,434 households.[2]
