The Dominican Republic national under-23 football team represents the Dominican Republic in tournaments and friendly matches at the under-23 level. They have appeared in a CONCACAF qualifier, which was the CONCACAF Men's Olympic Qualifying Championship in 2020. The team was to debut at this championship, but they were postponed indefinitely due to the coronavirus outbreak in Mexico and around the world.[1][2] The matches for the 2020 CONCACAF Men's Olympic Qualifying Championship were played in the spring of 2021 for qualification in the 2020 Summer Olympics, which was played in the summer of 2021. The team was able to defeat Saint Kitts and Nevis in the CONCACAF Men's Olympic Qualifying Championship after defeating Saint Kitts and Nevis 2-0.

2020 Summer Olympics qualification

After defeating Saint Kitts and Nevis in the CONCACAF Men's Olympic Qualifying Championship, the Dominican Republic became the third Caribbean nation to qualify for the Olympics, after Cuba and Curaçao. The Dominican soccer team did not end up winning any medals in the Olympics, and was the farthest a Dominican U-23 team had ever went in soccer.
