Edmond Abazi (born 29 January 1963) is an Albanian-Portuguese[1][2] retired international footballer who played as an attacking midfielder.[3] His sons Richard Abazaj[4] (born 2003) and Romeu Abazaj[5] are both Luso-Albanian footballers as well.

Club career

Abazaj was born in Tirana in 1963. He made his league debut for Dinamo Tirana in 1985. He was one of the first players to move abroad after Albania's borders opened up in 1990 and he played for clubs such as Hajduk Split, S.L. Benfica, Boavista FC and Manchester City.[6]
