Erjon Beu (born 13 July 1991) is a professional footballer who plays as a winger for Maltese side Lija Athletic. Born in Albania, Beu moved to Malta in the year 2010 joining Attard.

History

Beu initiated his football career in Albania at the youth academy of KF Teuta, subsequently joining the senior team of FK Sukthi. In 2010, the Third Division team Attard expressed interest in the Albanian Winger and successfully secured his signature.

During the 2010/11 Third Division season, Beu exhibited exemplary performance by scoring 7 goals in 12 matches, thereby capturing the attention of clubs in higher divisions.

After a brief one-year tenure with Attard, the First Division side Lija Athletic secured Beu's signature, impressed by his outstanding displays in the preceding season.

Over the years, Beu has become an iconic figure with Lija Athletic, contributing significantly by scoring 151 goals to date, solidifying his position as the all-time top scorer in the Maltese First Division.[1]

In addition to his notable achievements with Lija Athletic, Beu also had stints with Balzan during the 2013/14 season and a one-year loan spell with Hibernians during the 2021/22 season, culminating in winning the Maltese Premier League.[2]
