FS Metta Women is a Latvian women's football club based in Riga, Latvia. It competes in the Latvian Women's League, the top flight of Latvian football.
History
Starting from September 19, 2011, the METTA Football School and the Olympic Sports Centre, Riga started regular girls' football lessons. Currently, there is a specially developed girls' football training program during which girls learn football, aerobics and athletics. The established girls' teams regularly participate in various tournaments and camps both in Latvia and abroad. Older girls are often invited to participate in Latvian national teams of the respective age. It should also be noted that the girls' playing skills have grown rapidly and this is confirmed by the fact that FS Metta girls are regular winners of championships and tournaments. FS Metta's women's team participates in the Latvian Women's League. In 2018, the women's team won the Latvian women's 1st league, but in the following four years, team won bronze and twice silver medals in the Latvian Women's League, as well as won the Latvian Women's Cup in the 2022 season.
