Faravan Rural District (Persian: دهستان فروان) is in Kohanabad District of Aradan County, Semnan province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Faravan.[3]
After the National Census of 2011, Aradan District was separated from Garmsar County in the establishment of Aradan County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with the city of Aradan as its capital.[3]
At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 1,134 in 436 households. The largest of its 72 villages was Faravan, with 603 people.[2]
