Ferrante Castriota or Ferrante Castriota Scanderbegh, (1488–1561) was the son of the Albanian nobleman Gjon Kastrioti II and his wife Jerina Branković.[1][2][3] Ferrante married a Duchess of Galatina named Andreana Castriota in the year 1521.[4][5] They also had a daughter together, named Giovanna Castriota.[6] Ferrante also had three siblings, Giorgio Castriota (1540), Costantino Castriota (1477–1500), and Maria Castriota (1560).[7]
