Gabriela de Jesus Thomas Salgado (born 20 February 1998) is a South African soccer player who plays as a midfielder for SAFA Women's League club JvW and the South Africa women's national team.

Early life

Salgado was born in Johannesburg, Gauteng to a father of Portuguese descent and a mother of Lebanese descent.[1]

International career

The first known game Salgado played in for the South African national team was in a 3-0 friendly loss against Zambia on 12 February 2022.[2] She had already been called up for the team on 22 January 2017, but was not used here against France.[3]

On 23 June 2023, Salgado was added to the final squad at the 2023 World Cup.[4]
