Ghaniabad (Persian: غني اباد, also Romanized as Ghanīābād; also known as Ghanīābād-e Pā’īn and Khānīābād)[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Ghaniabad Rural District of the Central District of Ray County, Tehran province, Iran.[4]
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 1,754 in 441 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 1,558 people in 418 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,880 people in 551 households.[2]
