Hafdar District (Persian: بخش هفدر) is in Sorkheh County, Semnan province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Mowmenabad,[2] whose population at the National Census of 2016 was 1,796 in 585 households.[3]
After the 2011 census, Sorkheh District was separated from Semnan County in the establishment of Sorkheh County, which had one district of two rural districts, with Sorkheh as its capital and only city.[2]
After the census, Hafdar Rural District was separated from the Central District in the establishment of Hafdar District, which was divided into two rural districts and no cities.[2]
