It is found in North America, where it has been recorded from Alaska, Yukon and Alberta, east across Canada and the northern United States to New Brunswick and New England.[1] The habitat consists of fields, meadows and grasslands.
The wingspan is 16โ18 mm. The forewings range from whitish to pale yellowish with several faint and indistinct stripes, as well as two dark spots in the medial area. The hindwings are pale greyish. Adults are mainly on wing from May to July.
