Hymedesmia is a genus of sponges belonging to the family Hymedesmiidae.[2] The genus is divided into two subgenera, Hymedesmia (Hymedesmia)[3] and Hymedesmia (Stylopus).[4]
The genus has cosmopolitan distribution.[2]
