Jaime Andrés Grondona Bobadilla (born 15 April 1987) is a Chilean footballer who currently plays for Canadian Soccer League club Scarborough SC as a striker.[1]
Career
He was a member of the Chile national under-20 team that won third place at the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Canada. He made five appearances and scored twice at the tournament. After his team's semifinal loss against Argentina in Toronto, Grondona was banned by FIFA for nine months over his behaviour towards officials.[2]
In 2020, he came to Andorra and joined Atlètic d'Escaldes on the initiative of former Chilean goalkeeper Guillermo Burgos, who worked in the technical staff of the club.[3]
In 2023, he joined Canadian Soccer League club Scarborough SC. He scored the winning goal in a league encounter against Serbian White Eagles FC on July 15, 2023.[4]
