Joseph Daniel Bereta (born November 13, 1982) is an American actor and internet personality.

In 2003, Bereta co-founded the duo Barats and Bereta with Luke Barats. The two met whilst studying at Gonzaga University and first started out making comedic videos to amuse their friends. NBC signed them for a one-year deal in 2006. "This is Culdesac", the sketch comedy pilot they produced, directed, wrote, edited, and acted in under contract,[1] was not picked up by NBC. However their next television project was to be a more traditional sitcom.[1]

The duo had been noticed by news outlets such as The Huffington Post and NewMediaRockstars.[2][3] From 2012 to new years eve 2014, Bereta was a host on SourceFed.

From 2017 to April 2018, Bereta worked for Smosh as a content producer.[4] He guest appeared with them a year later with the Valleyfolk for a one-off video.[5]

Bereta co-founded the YouTube-based comedy group The Valleyfolk in Los Angeles in January 2018 with SourceFed employees Elliott Morgan, Lee Newton, and Steve Zaragoza.[6] Barats and Bereta ended after fifteen years when Joe's commitments to the Valleyfolk became strong. The Valleyfolk won the first season of Bring the Funny in 2019.[7]
