John Hodgson is an American politician who has served as a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives since January 9, 2023. He represents Kentucky's 36th House district. He has also worked as the operations director for Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin.

Electoral history

He was elected on November 8, 2022, in the 2022 Kentucky House of Representatives election. He assumed office on January 9, 2023.

Biography

Hodgson earned a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering from Texas Tech University in 1984 and an Master of Science in aeronautical science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 2007. He is a Christian.[1] He was raised in Texas, where both his parents were stationed in World War II.[2]

Political positions

Hodgson is in favor of "remov[ing] all taxpayer funding for abortion and abortion providers. He supports school choice.[3]
