Justin D. Shorter (born April 17, 2000) is an American football wide receiver for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Penn State and Florida.
Early life and high school
Shorter grew up in the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick, New Jersey, where he played prep football at South Brunswick High School.[1]
College career
Shorter began his college career at Penn State. He played in four games and caught three passes for 20 yards as a true freshman before redshirting the season.[2] Shorter had 12 receptions for 137 yards ten games into his redshirt freshman season before entering the NCAA transfer portal.[3]
Shorter ultimately transferred to Florida.[4] He was granted immediate eligibility to play for Florida after transferring after receiving a waiver from the NCAA.[5] Shorter had 25 receptions for 268 yards and three touchdowns in his first season with the Gators.[6] As a redshirt junior, he caught 41 passes for 550 yards and three touchdowns.[7] Shorter had 29 catches for 577 yards and two touchdowns during his redshirt senior season.[8] After the regular season, he announced he would forgo playing in the 2022 Las Vegas Bowl and declared for the 2023 NFL Draft.[9]

Shorter was selected by the Buffalo Bills in the fifth round, 150th overall, of the 2023 NFL Draft.[12] He was placed on injured reserve on August 30, 2023.[13]
