Kaisei Ogawa (小川 開世, born 25 February 2001), is a Japanese professional footballer who currently plays as a winger for Singapore Premier League club Albirex Niigata (S).[1] Kaisei was born in Tokyo, Japan.
Club career
Youth
Kaisei began his youth career with Christroi SC, before moving to Yokokawa Musasino under 15 and Tokyo Musashino City under 18 side. In 2019, he joined Takushoku University.
Albirex Niigata (S)
On 7 January 2023, Kaisei was recruited to joined Singaporean club Albirex Niigata (S) from Takushoku University together with Shunsaku Kishimoto and Riku Fukashiro ahead of the 2023 Singapore Premier League season.[2][3] He made his debut for the club on 8 January 2023 in a Singapore Community Shield match against Hougang United. [4] Along the season, he quickly became a regular starter for the team and was one of their key players in their title-winning campaign. Kaisei was one of the star players in the match against Lion City Sailors at the start of the season, scoring a free kick against them. [5] He would go on to win the 2023 league title in his debut season with the club.
