Keshav R. Murugesh is an Indian businessman who is the Group CEO and Member of the Board of Directors of WNS Holdings, a multinational business process management (BPM) company.[2][3] He is currently based out of London, United Kingdom.

A chartered accountant by profession, Keshav held leadership roles at Syntel, Inc. and ITC Limited prior to joining WNS.[4]

He was also Nasscom's Chairperson in 2019-20,[5] and Chairperson of Nasscom BPM Council for two consecutive terms (2015-17).[6][7][8] He was also the Chairperson of the NASSCOM Consumer Interest Protection Task Force.[9]

Keshav was featured in National Geographic's documentary series 'Mega Icons'.[10] Keshav is the Co-chief Mentor of Kalpataru Center of Entrepreneurship (CoE), established under the guidance of Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) to promote innovation and entrepreneurship.[11]

Keshav is a member of The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) CEO Council.[12] He is also an active member of G100 and has addressed many international gatherings – including the Harvard India Conference (2018 & 2023),[13] the Global Boardroom hosted by The Financial Times (2021),[14] the Fortune Global Sustainability Forum (2022),[15] Social Impact Day[16] panel at the Imperial College Business School, London (2021 & 2022), and as part of the panel on India-US relations hosted by ISB and the UCLA Anderson School of Management (2020).[17]

At WNS, he is a Member of the Board of WNS Cares Foundation (WCF) which focuses on education for marginalized children across WNS' global locations.[18]

Keshav mentors tech start-ups and is the co-founder, mentor, and earliest investor of the robotics company Emotix, a social and companion robot company with operations in 140 countries.[19] He is an investor and board member of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) Mumbai, India.[20]

Early life and education

Keshav holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and is a Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.[21][22]

Career

Keshav started his career in 1989 with the Internal Audit department at ITC Limited, and progressed to become its Vice President, Finance.[21] He joined Syntel Inc. as CFO in 2002, became its president and COO in 2004 and CEO in early 2009.[23] In February 2010, Keshav joined WNS Holdings as its Group CEO.[22]
