Marco Gabrielle Caputo (born 12 May 1971) is an Italian-born Australian former professional rugby union player. He played for the ACT Brumbies, Bedford Blues, Worcester Warriors, Harlequins and AS Montferrand.[1]
Caputo, who was born in Modena, attended Canberra's Daramalan College. He won a national championship with the ACT schoolboys side in 1988 and was subsequently picked to tour New Zealand with the Australian Schoolboys.[1]
A hooker, Caputo represented Australia in five Test matches. He debuted against Wales at Ballymore Stadium in 1996 and scored a try early in the first-half.[2] His career included a Bledisloe Cup match in Dunedin in 1997.[1]
Caputo played in the Super 12 for the ACT Brumbies from 1996 to 1999, after which he competed in Europe.[1]
Since 2023, Caputo has been head coach of Italian club Mogliano. His son, Joey Caputo, plays professionally in Italy.[3]
