Marcos Mereles is an Argentine-Italian film director, screenwriter and producer, best known for his feature film debut All Is Vanity.
Career
Mereles’ early short films have screened in festivals like Nashville Film Festival,[1] Cleveland Film Festival,[2] East End Film Festival,[3] Fantasia Film Festival,[4] among others.
He was nominated for a Méliès d'Argent at the 33rd Imagine Film Festival for his short film De Dode Spreekt.[5]
His feature debut, All Is Vanity, premiered at the 65th BFI London Film Festival.[6][7] The film had a limited theatrical release in the United Kingdom in 2022.[8][9]

Mereles participated in the 2022 Sight & Sound Directors' Poll, listing his ten favourite films: 8½, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Pulp Fiction, GoodFellas, Amarcord, Last Year at Marienbad, Barry Lyndon, Eraserhead, Citizen Kane and There Will Be Blood.[11]
