Mariápolis is a municipality in the state of São Paulo in Brazil. The population is 4,091 (2020 est.) in an area of 187 km2.[2] The elevation is 410 m. The town was founded in 1943 by Jan Antonín Baťa as part of his expansion of the Bata shoe company, founded by his brother Tomáš.[3]
