Bridgeport Hospital Milford Campus is a not-for-profit acute-care general medical, surgical and wound care community hospital located in Milford, Connecticut.
Facilities
The Bridgeport Hospital Milford Campus is a medical facility with 106 beds, offering a range of inpatient and outpatient services. It specializes in emergency and walk-in services, joint replacement surgery, wound care, health education, and home care services. The hospital is recognized by Blue Cross & Blue Shield as a Blue Distinction Center for its expertise in orthopedic health.
In recent years, there have been changes to the services provided. Obstetrical services were ceased, leading to a decline in maternity cases. However, gynecological services are still operational. In collaboration with Yale New Haven Hospital, the facility underwent renovations and development, resulting in a 24-bed inpatient Rehabilitation and Wellness Center with a rehabilitation gym. Additionally, a new unit specializing in neurological and orthopedic services was opened in 2015.
In 2018, Milford Hospital became a part of the Yale New Haven Health System, and it is now referred to as Bridgeport Hospital Milford Campus. The hospital's main entrance is located at 300 Seaside Avenue, Milford, Connecticut.[2]
