Mrittika is a feminine given name of Indo-Iranian origin and is most common in Eastern India, Northeastern India, and Bangladesh. The name means "mother earth" or "soil".[1] It is used by both Hindus and Muslims. The spelling Mritika is also used by Zoroastrians as a variant of Avestan Mitra.[2]
