Ojos que no ven (lit.'Out of Seeing Eyes') is a 2022 Mexican psychological thriller film directed by Alfonso Zarate (in his directorial debut) and written by Zarate & Sandra A. Flores Urrea.[3] Starring Arcelia Ramírez, Fernanda Castillo and Flavio Medina.[4]

Synopsis

The monotonous life of a private school librarian named Elena changes when she becomes obsessed with a new boy who arrived at the institution so much that she treats him like the son she lost. One day she decides to take it with her, causing a crisis in his real mother, Andrea, who will do everything possible to get him back.[5][6]

Critical reception

Fernando Zamora from Milenio wrote: "Beyond influences and ascriptions to film currents, Ojos que no ven confirms that Mexican cinema continues to find its own voice. And it is something that thirty years ago seemed impossible."[12]
