History

The chain was established in 2001, as a result of the Inditex Group market segmentation strategy. After starting out as an underwear brand, within a few years, they had introduced a sport collection that has ended up becoming their main line of business.

Over the years, Oysho has expanded into different countries, opening various major stores in the world’s main cities, such as Paris, London, Istanbul and Shanghai.

In 2011, they launched their online store in several countries and currently offers their collections in the vast majority of markets.

In 2022, they carried on growing their presence in the digital world and increased their commitment to sport with Oysho Training, a free fitness, yoga and running training app with sessions for all levels. The goal of the app is to offer the brand’s sporting community quality content created by international instructors.

Stores

Oysho has 457 stores worldwide, in more than 40 countries. Spain is their main market, followed by Mexico and Turkey.

The stores have an average sales floor space of 450m2.

Oysho stores are to be found in shopping centres and on high streets all over the world. Oysho has stores in Rue Rivoli in Paris, in London’s White City, on Gran Vía in Madrid, on Paseo de Gracia in Barcelona, in the Piazza San Babila in Milan, Dubai Mall in Dubai, in central Shanghai, and many other locations.

Supply

The company’s supply chain is fast and flexible. The collections have a high rotation rate, which is interpreted as one of their Inditex business successes.

Oysho products are provided based on consumer trends. A high response capacity means that products can be created to supply stores twice weekly.

Oysho has RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology so garments can be individually identified from logistics platforms to sale.
