Pterocryptis anomala is a species of catfish found in eastern Asia in the Pearl River drainages Minjiang and Zhujiang southwards into the streams draining the territory of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, China.[2]

This species reaches a length of 25.0 cm (9.8 in).[3]
