Qarah Bolagh (Persian: قره بلاغ, also Romanized as Qarah Bolāgh and Qareh Bolāgh; also known as Qareh Bolāq)[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Akhtachi-ye Gharbi Rural District of the Central District of Mahabad County, West Azerbaijan province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 245 in 39 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 218 people in 47 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 204 people in 57 households.[2]
